Responding Carmen B. Stiller: Part 2 (Christ VS God)

Now here's the another one from Carmen Stiller. She's comparing Christ former state not minding his current state sitting in God throne. Funny who she tries to defame Christ through their ideology and yet claimed to be Christian.

Jerry Nuñez Bustillo
Distinguishing God from Christ

So here she goes with her title. Let's see what we can get -

God who created all things has no beginning; He is from everlasting to everlasting.
“Before the mountains were born and before you created the earth and the world, you are God. You have always been, and you will always be.” Psalm 90:2

VS.

Jesus Christ Came From God.
“Jesus said to them, "If God were really your Father, you would love me, because I came from God and now I am here. I did not come by my own authority; God sent me.” John 8:42

Was it really that way? When Christ says he came from God does it meant he was created BY God? Let's try to look at this passage to know more about Christ.

Colossians 11:6 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Ephesians 3:9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

Hebrew 1:1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:

Okay, so the next topic she opens up below -

God is immortal.
“To the King that rules forever, who will never die, who cannot be seen, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.” 1 Timothy 1:17

 VS.

Jesus died on the cross.
“When Jesus tasted the vinegar, he said, "It is finished." Then he bowed his head and died. But when the soldiers came to Jesus and saw that he was already dead, they did not break his legs.” John 19:30, 33

Didn't you even think that Christ current situation is in immortal state? You keep looking backward not minding how Christ fulfilled and conquer death.

Anyway, let's try to look at this scripture to see how it fits -

1 Timothy 6:14 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:

15 Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;

16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.

So, who's immortal now? In fact, if you read that epistle of Paul to Timothy from his first letter, chapter 1 has it already on its first few verses before you quote v17 were Christ is the subject. But you missed that spot. So here's how it says -

14 And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

16 Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.

17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Basically, if you try to understand that letter to Timothy, Christ was the subject. But of course you have your own opinion by just simply following your doctrine and not biblical. But this has disputes you even 1 Timothy 6:14-15.

Moving forward, he seem to exaggerate the topic by simply saying Christ is just a human who's subject of sickness, fainted, pain, death, etc., I don't know how this group understand Christ while in human form need to suffer as human to fulfill the mission. But let's try to see her comments first before I get my response -

The Almighty God neither grows tired nor weary.
“Surely you know. Surely you have heard. The Lord is the God who lives forever, who created all the world. He does not become tired or need to rest. No one can understand how great his wisdom is.” Isaiah 40:28

 VS.

Jesus Christ wearied or grew tired.
“Jacob's well was there. Jesus was tired from his long trip, so he sat down beside the well. It was about twelve o'clock noon.” John. 4:6

Oh, come on! Is this the best scriptures to prove Christ is merely a human and not a God?

If that's an excuse then let's try to see how God the creator rested his labor after the creation.

Genesis 2:1-3

Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.

And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

And God blessed the seventh day, aa was qand sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Let's just skipped that part. There are reasons why Christ need to suffer as Human, subjected to pain, sickness, suffering. The atonement wouldn't be completed without a human experience.

God is spirit, without flesh and bones.
“God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”John. 4:24 “Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see, because a ghost does not have a living body as you see I have."” Luke 24:39

VS.

Jesus Christ is a man having flesh“
Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see, because a ghost does not have a living body as you see I have.” Luke 24:39 “I am a man who has told you the truth which I heard from God, but you are trying to kill me. Abraham did nothing like that.” John. 8:40

Seem like you're misinformed. This subject has been a forever Doctrine of INC proving Christ can't be God by just simply saying he has a human body in heaven. Such a poor ideology, but I'll make a response to this one for Carmen's sake -

First of all, understand how the text written will leads you to know the nature of God, John 4:24 is supposed to be translated as "God is Spirit" without "A" in greek manuscript. But let's skip to that first to help her out. Here's the thing, was it literal? If it was literal, then consider the rest of the phrase is literal. It says "those who worship him MUST worship in spirit and truth". So, how are you gonna worship God in spirit while you are still inside your body? Haven't you think about it?

And with Job Baustista -

Okay, so the next one is, uhm!? Just don't know what to say about it. I'm thinkin', did You really read the scriptures? I just don't get it? Why are we still in this topic while I already made my point about Christ and his nature?

Okay, So let's try this one -

God knows no other God besides himself.
“Don't be afraid! Don't worry! I have always told you what will happen.You are my witnesses. There is no other God but me. I know of no other Rock; I am the only One."” Isaiah 44:8

VS.

Jesus Christ called upon the Father and acknowledged Him as the only true God.
“At three o'clock Jesus cried in a loud voice, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani." This means, "My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?"” Mark 15:34

“After Jesus said these things, he looked toward heaven and prayed, "Father, the time has come. Give glory to your Son so that the Son can give glory to you. And this is eternal life: that people know you, the only true God, and that they know Jesus Christ, the One you sent.” John 17:1, 3

Alright, so let's try to understand the text to comprehend the scriptures.

Isaiah 44:8 in KJV that I use has a different text, and I don't know which translation she use in that comment, but let's consider that.

Notice on how It says about there's no other rock according to the translation you use. If so, then why did it change in the New Testament? Why did the apostles address him as the rock?

1 Corinthians 10:1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

So, you know already whose the rock they're talking to in the Old Testament?

God is above all, He is subject to no one.
“There is one God and Father of everything. He rules everything and is everywhere and is in everything.” Ephesians 4:6

 VS.

Jesus Christ, the son of God, is subject to God the Father.
“After everything has been put under the Son, then he will put himself under God, who had put all things under him. Then God will be the complete ruler over everything. But I want you to understand this: The head of every man is Christ, the head of a woman is the man, and the head of Christ is God.” 1 Corinthians 15:28, 11:3

Exactly how it goes, Christ is the God of this world who was appointed by the Father to put everything under him. This alone refutes your ideology of just one God while everything is subjected to Christ. The only thing that INC missed is to understand the message of the scriptures. It was Christ whom the prophets believe who redeem his people, who Created all things, who will save his people.

In conclusion, the only thing that I can see in which Carmen B. Stiller comparing Christ to his Father as a mere human versus to a most powerful God, is absurdity. She never realized how Christ fulfil the writings of the scriptures. Deepening the knowledge or understand the contents and Context of the scriptures will leads you to know the truth. That's my encouragement to you Carmen B. Stiller and to the rest of the reader.
