Temple and Family History Fireside

A poster that I made as
an invitation for the
Temple and Family History Fireside.

The speakers made a good life story on how they got married in the Temple. The Rodillo Couple and the Ramos Couple the in so much struggle in their preparation but in the end, God provides a way for them to get married.

Some Instructions from our Stake Family History Consultant.

The Stake and Family History Consultant then gives training on how to do family Search Indexing. Seem so confusing at first actually, if you don't know how it goes and what to do in your spare time. But doing family research is fun actually and worth your time.

At the end, other instructions were also given such as retrieving the LDS account or Membership account. Most members weren't aware of their LDS accounts that sometimes they forgot passwords or don't even know what's inside their LDS Accounts. #1830 hotline was also an option for members to retrieve their accounts.

So much of my stories, anyway, thank you for visiting this blog.

Know Christ.

These were some of the lines that I read from the previous talk during the General Conference last October 2022. This was the class study in Elder's Quorum Class, and I thought about this question myself. Was my knowledge of Christ is not enough?

“We must know Christ better than we know him; we must rem7ember him more often than we remember him; we must serve him more valiantly than we serve him.” The Answer Is Jesus by Ryan K. Olsen

This reminds me of what Bruce R. McConkie of his last talk that says this line -

I am one of his witnesses, and in a coming day I shall feel the nail marks in his hands and in his feet and shall wet his feet with my tears. 3 Ne. 17:10

But I shall not know any better then than I know now that he is God’s Almighty Son, that he is our Savior and Redeemer, and that salvation comes in and through his atoning blood and in no other way.

God grant that all of us may walk in the light as God our Father is in the light so that, according to the promises, the blood of Jesus Christ his Son will cleanse us from all sin.

In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, amen. (The Purifying Power of Gethsemane - Bruce R. McConkie)

This message helps me realize to deepen my understanding of Christ and his atonement. What we might think is enough seems too shallow or too light. The scriptures also taught us about the parable of the Seed Sowing on different Grounds, so the question is which ground we got in our heart? And, what else do we need to do to know more about Christ?
