One of the Greatest gift that God has given us was the opportunity to receive salvation and exaltation. We never knew why He allows His son to sacrifice for the sake of that plan. It was the most remarkable, and the most important thing that happen in the entire history, and yet it was all forgotten. Christ has instructed us to remember him always. And in honor of his atoning sacrifice, we too must always remember him by partaking of the sacrament.
You will NEVER be a god?
One simple question and the most used was "Mormon claim to be a god", "Mormon believe they will become gods", or "Mormon teaches they will be gods", and so forth. But what exactly does that mean? Do LDS claim that they will become like the father, who is omnipotent (having unlimited power and able to do anything), omniscient (Knows everything) after they die? How will that be? And why are they teaching it? Is it blasphemy against God who proclaims their teachings as greater or Equal to God? How many Gods will there be after?
Psalm 82:1 God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods....6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.8 Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.
