I don't know what this guy is up to but seems like he is trying to ruin INC's reputation. His weak study concludes that this type of religion was so ignorant in scripture study that even understanding the detail of the writing they don't even understand. He is just fooling himself or playing a fool for INC's sake. Sorry to say this guy just shows how poorly you INC people understand the scripture, change my mind.

He's quoting James 5:17-18 then quote Helaman 11:13 that says this -

Then ask this question thinking it was copied out of some stories in the bible.

Alam ba ninyo na itong huwad na Propeta ng Lds cult church ay nagkaroon daw ng tag init ng halos 76 years na tag init bago umulan ng manalangin ni Nephi ? Over exaggerated ang kuwento ng Bulaang Propeta di po ba ? Kung 3 taon lang na hindi mag ulan ay malaking pinsala na ang idinulot sa mundo 76 years pa kaya ?
Funny, how he used the 76 years of famine quoting on Helaman 11:17 and thought it happen that way. He never realized the previous verses that answer his confusion. Seriously, how many Christians believe in such INC hullabaloos to something he doesn't understand. I suppose to answer it straight in the first place but it will be nice to prove how poor his comprehension of the scriptures is. Lets go and take a look prior to that -
Helaman 11:1-7And now it came to pass in the seventy and second year of the reign of the judges that the contentions did increase, insomuch that there were wars throughout all the land among all the people of Nephi.
2 And it was this secret band of robbers who did carry on this work of destruction and wickedness. And this war did last all that year; and in the seventy and third year it did also last.
3 And it came to pass that in this year Nephi did cry unto the Lord, saying:
4 O Lord, do not suffer that this people shall be destroyed by the sword; but O Lord, rather let there be a famine in the land, to stir them up in remembrance of the Lord their God, and perhaps they will repent and turn unto thee.
5 And so it was done, according to the words of Nephi. And there was a great famine upon the land, among all the people of Nephi. And thus in the seventy and fourth year the famine did continue, and the work of destruction did cease by the sword but became sore by famine.
6 And this work of destruction did also continue in the seventy and fifth year. For the earth was smitten that it was dry, and did not yield forth grain in the season of grain; and the whole earth was smitten, even among the Lamanites as well as among the Nephites, so that they were smitten that they did perish by thousands in the more wicked parts of the land.
7 And it came to pass that the people saw that they were about to perish by famine, and they began to remember the Lord their God; and they began to remember the words of Nephi.
According to Helaman's history, the famine was around or in between Seventy and Third Year and ended on Seventy and Six Year, that approximately Three Years, but he never realized that. Why on earth everyone should listen to this guy who can't even understand the content of the scripture? So, stupid enought to claim something false he don't understand. So who's Moron now?
God's way of reminding his people and to awaken them up from their wickedness is to cast famine in the land. Biblically it's not just in the days of Elijah. Even in the days Abraham that left him no choice but to leave their land and went to Egypt (Genesis 12:10). Joseph in Egypt experience the same that took seven years of famine (Genesis 41). David experience it after Saul slays the Gebionites (2 Samuel 21:1) and so on. A prophet Nephi had ask it from the Lord cause he knew how it helps their people in remembrance of their covenants and to refrain from wickedness, see how failure you are Job? It's totally an epic failure and thank you for proving how the Book of Mormon became the word of God on your fail Study.
