Shammahel: For God is there

My first born child was named Shammahel. Do you know how I named here that name?

The name Shammah was mention in the Old Testament though it is not a famous in the days of David as his Brother. And on the other hand, I am thinking what will be the best name for our child if he or she will be born. I told my wife that I will be giving a child's name and I will try to look on some passage of scriptures if I could find a good name for our child.

It come to a conclusion that our child is the answer to all our prayers. I couldn't think of any good name, then finally the Bible Dictionary helps me find a good one.

I will never forget your face as I kiss it.
I will kiss you again there someday.
I love you Shammahel

Jehovah-shammah. Heb., translated the Lord is there. In English, the name of the New Jerusalem in Ezekiel’s vision (Ezek. 48:35).

It was round about eighteen thousand measures: and the name of the city from that day shall be, The Lord is there.

We Love you and we miss you Shammahel

The Word Jehovah should not be pronounce since it is sacred. So I decide to replace it with the word "EL" that stands for "Eloi" or "Elohim". So, names was supposed to be as El-Shammah. But it seems obvious in Hebrew writing which make it more significant to the word Jehovah-Shammah. Then I decide to twist it over that make it more readable in English word. Then it ended that way Shammah-El or Shammahel.

Before she passed away, I created a Poem dedicated for her and that someday she could read it sometime. Sad to say, she didn't make it that far. So, during our little gathering on her burial I pronounce the poem to everyone who was there.

God is there

I lost my way and I’m afraid
I stumble for what I’d just made
You left me up and took my fear,
I’m glad my Lord that thou art there.

So unhappy, I’m all alone
Just sit and watch the breaking dawn
You came to me removed my tears,
Oh, Lord my God, for thou are there.

Forgive me Lord, forgive thy child,
Don’t leave me here, ‘til even tide.
Guide me Lord as I draw thee near,
For I know now, that thou art there.

Then I believe and trust in thee,
For thou leaded me back thy way.
I'll guide my soul ‘til I am near,
In place we dwell where God is there.
