Christmas Reunion 2023: Lizada Compound

It's Christmas Day, and my wife, along with some relatives, invited us to join them for a visit. They planned to visit some family members in Liozon, so we traveled with them and enjoyed some food with the Lizada family. We aren't very close to these relatives since they are on my wife's mother’s side, but we had a good time getting to know them and learning about their background.

Ernest Somar's the Runaway Critics - Part 1 Polygamy

Here's one of our friendly Neighborhoods that wants to play some old school game. Not a game, but here he opens up some oldies that he thinks are goodies. So I told him that I'd write an article about it, and let him have his counter comments if he has.

He thinks this is a new thing that wasn't explored by any LDS and he thinks it couldn't be debunked. So here let's dive into Ernest Somar. And as I have said be sure you have credibility in a discussion rather than bubbling with your childish mouth.

As the video title says 10 things the Mormons hide. Was it hidden? Then why was it kept in the church archive? Just a thought something that makes it more misleading. But of course, Ernest Somar needs an article about it, so let's give him a try -
1 Polygamy
First on the list, Polygamy as always and most critics love digging up, and was still an issue even if it wasn't practiced nowadays. So was it hidden, has the history been erased for the sake of Mormonism? Nope, it wasn't even hidden and in fact, there's a full website that collects the entire information about it here what I meant https://josephsmithspolygamy.org again, was it hidden? I don't think so. The website shows a detailed history of how it all began and how the saints during those times accepted and declined the call. Even in those times, they don't understand why it was revealed through Joseph Smith.

And for Helen Mar Kimball you can check out her book titled A Widow's Tale: 1884-1896 Diary of Helen Mar Kimball Whitney where she made her entire life story and defense of Polygamy. You can check out and download the PDF version to read it for yourself. Now Tell me Ernes Somar, do you have anything new about it? If Joseph Smith was a sexual predator or molested a child, then how come they have to protect him?

Joseph Smiths' Polygamy was never about sex as your green understanding Ernest Somar, rather it was all about eternal marriage. See the difference? It's not about sex, but rather an eternal bond. Too bad you don't have that kind of ordinance in your current church, everything you know about marriage was just sex.

From Saints unscripted titled "Joseph Smith married a 14-year-old??? Ep. 108"

Notes:

Conclusion: As we go on through the text over some sources, it is clear that Joseph Smith's plural marriage intention is plainly for eternal purposes and it's not all about sexual impurities or perverting the Biblical sense of marriage. such as the prophets of old that were chosen to have wives and concubines, joseph Smith restores the same principle and yet in the highest order.

Family History Program: Bulawen Saints

Pictures Collected during the actual activity.

Bulawen Branch has a few saints in the entire IBA Philippines Stake. But here they gave the very best numbers supporting the Lord’s work beyond the veil. They're dominating in support so far as the past Sundays in the other wards. Most Group Leaders were there to support the work; Clerk, Young Women, Relief Society, with Elder's Quorum President and the Counselor assigned.

Persistent Missionaries

This kinda funny but yes, missionaries were persistent for the sake of salvation.

Exactly Persistent

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

My Schedule

This was the schedule assign for me. It's kinda fun and exiting, and of course I need to be prepare for a topic in the entire week.

The Principle of OSAS (Once Saved Always Saved)

Some post that I saw which actually made me think.

I wonder how are they gonna apply this few verses using that comical example -

Proverbs 28:18 Whoso walketh uprightly shall be saved: but he that is perverse in his ways shall fall at once.

Jeremiah 4:14 O Jerusalem, wash thine heart from wickedness, that thou mayest be saved. How long shall thy vain thoughts lodge within thee?

Matthew 10:22, 24:13; (Mark 13:13) And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

Matthew 19:23 (Mark 10:26; Luke 18:26) ¶ Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.
24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?
26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Just a post I found in one of the group.
I didn't enclude the entire post.

  • Seriously, why does it even became a doctrine?
  • Is salvation Free or  Cheap?
  • If me or everyone else were save through Christ Grace, then what are we still debating for?
  • Was Faith has categories that one can be defined as saved?

Journal Entry - November 6, 2023

Anyways, here are some of their pictures.

Neil Andi Anderson: Nice Try on Roman 16:16

This is one of Neil Andi Anderson's escape plans. I thought this would be the best time to make a good call for him in a formal 1on1 discussion, but he never realized I knew how it all went. So, I'm right Neil Andi Anderson that you fail to understand the scriptures. Here's our supposed topic (Hebrews 5:4) but you're trying to shift it not knowing it's the weakest.

His Magnum Opus, thinking it could break the Camel's back.
Nice try!

Now here are his Collections of verses to support his ideology, without knowing each context. see for yourself -

Was it really the context of the Scriptures?

Here is the list in this order, and following the verses were my remarks about it. Let's see if we can make a good Commentary about its context -

Matthew 16:18 (NIV) - And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
Yup, Christ calling on Peter showing him how he will build his church. So no!, that's Irrelevant to the issue. Every church on either side could use the same passage as their standard teachings. Everyone can use the same quote but not related to the church name issue.

Ephesians 4:4 (NIV)- There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called;
Paul is calling everyone to Be one as the one body united with one spirit. So we are to be one with hope in Christ.

Colossians 1:18 (NIV) - And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.
Christ is the Head of the Church and no question about it since he is the author of everything including our faith.

Roman 12:4-5 (ESV) - For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.
Like the body, we are all members of one Church which is led by Christ and we do have different functions like the body as well.

Ephesians 5:30 (BSB) - For we are members of His body.
"The same principle applies to the prior verse."

1 Corinthians 12:27 (NKJV) - Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.
"The same principle applies to the prior verse."

This has nothing to do with the subject at all rather it simply explains our unity and purpose as a member of Christ's Church, everyone can carry the same principles that doesn't need further arguments. So what's with it concerning your said "Church of Christ" thing as the true church?

Below are the selected words from Neil Andi Anderson and his alibi -

I actually made a previous invitation via Zoom link and see if he can defend his claim.
But he never showed up on time. So, I asked Job Bautista instead of him.

Here he Attempts to clean up his missed and tells everyone that he shows up.
To be fair, yes but he showed up but not in the Zoom link
and he showed up late so I decided to close the meeting
and ask him to set a schedule today. And so here's the result.

He didn't use the link as said on the video
so I decided to call him in Messenger.
Still, he didn't respond to my call.

And so the Alibi Goes.

The last part of the video was actually a question to him and his ideology about the "True Church = name of the church". So, I added a question in 1 Timothy 3:15
But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. - 1 Timothy 3:15
and Ask him if this was also the true church Paul had said? (See the last few words in the video)

In Conclusion, as I presented in the video. Paul is simply stating the church was a body organized by faithful believers and it's never said it was true just because of how it was called or its name. Christ and Paul never said the true church should be named by a specific name, whereas the true church is followers of Christ that unite in doing the will of the Father.

Neil Andi Anderson: Was an Attitude defines a religion?

This man has so much hate. I could actually put a lot of screenshots of our exchanges and how this fanatic person is so rude and unchristian in his way of conversing on social media. This is not actually new, there are others out there who did the same thing, and both sides, just to be fair. but this guy even when you're too kind to make a good discussion seems can't control the hatred and rude comments which sometimes leads to ad hominem.

  1. Why would INC Church accept such kind of attitude?
  2. Was this teaching also part of INC theology?
  3. If not. then what kind of people are they that turn away from Christ's teachings and love.

Conversation from Job Bautista's Post.

His Last Christian Word as he Claimed to be a Christian. Funny How this kind of attitude exists in INC and teaches Goodness in their Fundamental Beliefs. Of course, he's a troll and every fanatic troll could do that, which simply harms the INC ideology.

Our Dog Kikay and her Puppies

Here are some recollections of our puppies. Unfortunately, they did not survive. Some of the individuals who took in the puppies did not provide proper care for them. Despite the fact that they are now just memories, they represent the most cherished moments we have of them. These memories serve as a tribute to the puppies and the love we had for them. While their time with us was short-lived, the impact they had on our lives is everlasting. It is through these memories that we honor their presence and the joy they brought into our lives, even if it was only for a brief period. The bond we shared with these puppies will always hold a special place in our hearts, reminding us of the love and companionship they brought into our lives.

Part 10 - Job Bautista in his Concern: Christ is a Powerful God?

Part 11 - Job Bautista Mischievous Blind Guide

One of the videos that I created for Job Bautista was about his Concerns or more clearly his Criticisms about the LDS. See the video and how he misunderstood the writings.

Spoiler alert: You are about to see stuff that was created in direct reaction to those who used to mock and despise the LDS Church and its doctrines. The author is accountable for the content of his own personal views, which do not necessarily reflect those of the church and its teaching. Additionally, it is not intended to undermine anyone's testimony on either side; rather, it is merely a response to the specific individual, not the entire organization. You are welcome to express your own perspective or get in touch with me if you have any questions, but as I've already stated, my personal opinion in no way represents the doctrines of the LDS Church.

Dito Si Job Bautista ay gumamit ng talata at pinili lang ang parte na gusto nya iconnect sa kanyang pangutya. sa baba ay ang mga talata tungkol dito -

Omni 1:1 Behold, it came to pass that I, Omni, being commanded by my father, Jarom, that I should write somewhat upon these plates, to preserve our genealogy—
2 Wherefore, in my days, I would that ye should know that I fought much with the sword to preserve my people, the Nephites, from falling into the hands of their enemies, the Lamanites. But behold, I of myself am a wicked man, and I have not kept the statutes and the commandments of the Lord as I ought to have done.

Mosiah 4:13 And ye will not have a mind to injure one another, but to live peaceably, and to render to every man according to that which is his due.
14 And ye will not suffer your children that they go hungry, or naked; neither will ye suffer that they transgress the laws of God, and fight and quarrel one with another, and serve the devil, who is the master of sin, or who is the evil spirit which hath been spoken of by our fathers, he being an enemy to all righteousness.

Debunking Misconceptions: The Book of Mormon and the Bible

This was posted in one of the Group that I responded on the comment section to some who take a good excuse about it. Below the text was the actual screenshot.

Anyway, this has nothing to do with my opinion and views, I may disagree the text or maybe some other may sound not appropriate in my understanding. So yeah, I'm not biased about it. I'm only posting this for the sake of linking it for the comment section conversations, which I got involve. And by the way, it will be on a separate post. -

Introduction

It's not uncommon to hear claims that The Book of Mormon, a sacred text in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church), causes people to doubt the Bible. However, this assertion oversimplifies a complex relationship between the two texts and overlooks the perspectives of millions of individuals who find value in both. In this article, we'll explore the relationship between The Book of Mormon and the Bible and debunk the misconception that one necessarily undermines the other.

Complementary, Not Contradictory:

The Book of Mormon is often seen by LDS Church members as another testament of Jesus Christ. It is intended to complement the Bible, not replace it. Believers in both texts see them as harmonious witnesses to the divinity and teachings of Christ. The Book of Mormon does not negate the significance of the Bible but enriches the understanding of the gospel.

Different Perspectives, Shared Faith:

People who embrace The Book of Mormon alongside the Bible do not necessarily doubt the Bible. Instead, they approach these texts with different perspectives and find spiritual fulfillment in both. They view the Bible as a historical and spiritual document and The Book of Mormon as an additional witness to Jesus Christ.

Individual Interpretation:

Doubt or skepticism can arise from individual interpretation, but it's not unique to one's engagement with The Book of Mormon. People from various religious backgrounds often have different interpretations of scripture, including the Bible itself. Doubt may stem from questions about translation, historical accuracy, or theological matters, but it's not exclusive to The Book of Mormon.

Diverse Views on Scripture:

Within the broad spectrum of Christianity, there are diverse views on which texts are considered authoritative. Some denominations include additional texts alongside the Bible, while others do not. The presence of various Christian denominations with differing scriptural canons demonstrates that perspectives on scripture vary widely.

Personal Spiritual Journeys:

Doubt or faith in any religious text is often a part of an individual's spiritual journey. People grapple with questions, seek answers, and evolve in their beliefs. The Book of Mormon, like the Bible, can be a source of inspiration and guidance for those navigating their spiritual paths.

Conclusion

The assertion that The Book of Mormon causes people to doubt the Bible oversimplifies the nuanced relationship between these texts. While there may be individuals who question aspects of their faith, it's important to recognize that many find spiritual fulfillment and coherence in embracing both texts. The Book of Mormon is a significant part of the religious experience for millions, and it is approached as a complementary witness to the teachings of Jesus Christ alongside the Bible, rather than a source of doubt. Ultimately, the relationship between these texts is a matter of personal belief and interpretation.
