Baptists at Our Barbecue

The 2004 comedy-drama Baptists at Our Barbecue is based on Robert Farrell Smith's 1996 book of the same name. Christian Vuissa produced and directed it. This movie includes both humor intended for non-Mormon audiences and some humor that is aimed at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) audience in an effort to appeal to Mormon audiences that are unlikely to be won over.

The small town of Longwinded, Arizona, in the United States, which was divided and feuded with 262 Mormons and 262 Baptists, is the subject of the book "Baptists at Our Barbecue." It also tells the tale of a person who will do anything to put an end to the pointless conflict, unite the community, and prevent the peace-loving girl of his dreams from leaving.
