Know Christ.

These were some of the lines that I read from the previous talk during the General Conference last October 2022. This was the class study in Elder's Quorum Class, and I thought about this question myself. Was my knowledge of Christ is not enough?

“We must know Christ better than we know him; we must rem7ember him more often than we remember him; we must serve him more valiantly than we serve him.” The Answer Is Jesus by Ryan K. Olsen

This reminds me of what Bruce R. McConkie of his last talk that says this line -

I am one of his witnesses, and in a coming day I shall feel the nail marks in his hands and in his feet and shall wet his feet with my tears. 3 Ne. 17:10

But I shall not know any better then than I know now that he is God’s Almighty Son, that he is our Savior and Redeemer, and that salvation comes in and through his atoning blood and in no other way.

God grant that all of us may walk in the light as God our Father is in the light so that, according to the promises, the blood of Jesus Christ his Son will cleanse us from all sin.

In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, amen. (The Purifying Power of Gethsemane - Bruce R. McConkie)

This message helps me realize to deepen my understanding of Christ and his atonement. What we might think is enough seems too shallow or too light. The scriptures also taught us about the parable of the Seed Sowing on different Grounds, so the question is which ground we got in our heart? And, what else do we need to do to know more about Christ?
