Satan and Jesus were Brothers?

This is a fair questions that most Christian and Iglesia Ni Christo believed that Christ and Satan were not related to each other but rather Satan was Created as separate being. We'll see if that makes sense in our reading.

Today, one of the known antagonist that never understood biblical writings rather copy-pasting anything he could see to prove he's well learn, but things makes it worse in which biblical text disprove his ideology. Let's try to see How Neil Andi Anderson understood the writings.

In one of his comments below, he tried to open up something he think would dismissed LDS Theology. Same question as most other Christians sees it as cult teaching. I wish it was a cult but while deepen it's understanding would simply turn on the other way round.

Let's dive in -

Was satan our brother? What biblical proof?

Yes, in Latter-day Saint theology, it's taught that Satan, also known as Lucifer before his fall, was indeed our brother in the premortal life. This concept leans on the understanding that all beings, including Jesus Christ, Lucifer, and all humanity, are spirit children of Heavenly Father.

For biblical backing of this family relationship in a broad sense, Hebrews 12:9 refers to God as the "Father of spirits," suggesting a familial relationship between God and all spirit beings. Additionally, Revelation 12:7-9 speaks of a war in heaven led by Michael against the dragon (commonly interpreted as Satan), indicating pre-earth interactions between good and evil spirits, which implies our existence with God and Satan before this earthly life.

While the Bible doesn’t explicitly state the brotherhood of Satan and humanity in the direct way Latter-day Saint teachings do, these scripture references contribute to understanding the nature of our relationship with God and each other in the premortal existence.

And here's the Isaiah writing in full text to understand how it was said.

Isaiah 14
12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;
17 That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?
18 All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house.
19 But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet.

Now look closely on the words highlighted and answer this question in fair understanding.
  1. How was Satan or Lucifer became the SON of the Morning? If he's a son, then who was his Father?
  2. How come that he had a throne that he ambitiously want to exalt above others?
  3. Does the word I will be like the most High suggests something about his authority as one of God's Child? If no, then how do you define it?

Why Christ said addressing the Father as the One true God in John 17:1-3 while he was also the same God?

Context on Ephesians 5:11

Jose Magadia Miscategorize the context (Ephesians 5:11). One of the members of "Iglesia ni Christo" a Philippine religion say a lot of words he think were a good practice of this religion but the context says the opposite. We'll try to see what he mean about and let's examine if this really aligns in the teaching of Christ is this modern Christian world.

Let's try to see first how it all began. Actually, I had responded his long post that has nothing to do about their doctrine or perhaps it's their way of provoking someone whoever they think they could easily provoke. So, I made a response which I said "Not again" since I got tire of seeing his long boring post with full of mischievous behavior and attacks.

Now here we are in his response, he said this -

Now here he wanted me to go on and accept the challenge on his long post. But I didn't take the bait.

A simple comments would make his day.

Then look what he did next which kinda so awkward for a grown man post memes that's not even relevant to the Issue. But actually I found a lot of childish behaviour and thought in their group or their Kapatiran as they call it. So, it's not new actually -

So, what this has to do on your OP?

Anyway, since he opened it up, just want to have a quick response about it. I'll be posting more on this topic next time though.

So, here's the thing as a quick outline for your learning. We believe as members of the Church of Jesus Christ that God wants all his Children to return in his presence and we don't believe God is not just and will simply select few of his Children. As Christ made his statement to Nicodemus that No man could enter to God's Kingdom unless if he was born again or in other words be baptized. More on this if you need it, will be on different post. (See John 3:1-8)

Now let's go back to the topic. I made an attempt to respond on his post but seems like he don't like the idea of it, so he insisted his using a chapter in the Bible that he think would be helpful.

My short comment, perhaps it would help him understand that his long boring post is not necessary.

Now look at that. He use this passage to justify his Post of his unloving Criticism, but what's actually the Context was all about?

And in an attempt to educate this guy about his comments. Below is the well constructed context of this scriptures and see for yourself if this meant everything about his understand, which I suppose he miscategorize it or more closely he misunderstood the epistle.

Ephesians 5:11 is part of a larger discourse where the Apostle Paul instructs members of the church in Ephesus on how to live as followers of Jesus Christ. This epistle, or letter, is focused broadly on the idea of the Christian life and how believers are to conduct themselves in the world.

In the broader context of Ephesians 5, particularly verses 1 through 21, Paul is emphasizing the importance of living in love, just as Christ loved us. He encourages believers to walk as children of light (v.8), meaning they should exhibit goodness, righteousness, and truth in their lives.

Before verse 11, Paul lists behaviors that are not fitting for saints, such as sexual immorality, greed, and obscenity, categorizing them as deeds of darkness. Then, in verse 11, he explicitly states that Christians should not participate in these unfruitful works of darkness but rather expose them. This doesn't mean to literally call out every sin in public, but to live in such a contrastingly righteous way that it naturally exposes the immorality of those deeds.

Paul's directive here is about more than avoiding sin; it's about actively choosing to live in a manner that reflects God’s goodness, thus illuminating the darkness. This encapsulates the idea that Christians are to be in the world but not of it, transforming their own lives in such a way that their actions speak against the deeds of darkness without even needing to say a word.

Following verse 11, Paul continues to encourage this transformative way of living by advising to make the most of every opportunity because the days are evil (v.16), and not to be foolish but understand what the Lord’s will is (v.17).

Overall, the context around Ephesians 5:11 is about encouraging Christians to live distinctively holy lives that both reflect God's love and stand as a testament against immorality, thereby influencing the world around them in a positive and godly manner. It's a call to not only avoid participation in sin but also to embody and promote the goodness that comes from living in accordance with God's will.

Now you know Jose Magadia, you can share this info to your friends and Kapatiran to let them know how to use scriptural context. That perhaps it may help you understand even the prophecy of Isaiah. You may thank me Later.

Now here's the rest of the conversation. Enjoy the show -

The End as of this moment.

A Marvelous Work: Episode 2

This was the second video that they released that seems they're trying to open up some scriptural evidence of the Book of Mormon. If you missed the first episode, you can view it here Greatness of the Evidence | A Marvelous Work | Episode 1
