Why Christ said addressing the Father as the One true God in John 17:1-3 while he was also the same God?

This question is not actually new to every INC Member who tries to insist their doctrine and ideology. The only thing could answer the question is to know the biblical elements and contextual understanding about the nature of Christ before he departed in this world and the divine calling of God the Father and the Holy Ghost.

Here let's address some issue -

In John 17:1-3, Jesus is praying and it's a big deal for us Latter-day Saints because it helps us get a clearer picture of God and Jesus. During this prayer, Jesus calls Heavenly Father "the only true God" and talks about Himself as being sent by God. It's a touching moment showing their unique connection.

Jesus Christ is divine and part of what we call the Godhead, along with Heavenly Father and the Holy Ghost. They are three different beings, but they're totally united in what they're all about—like bringing us all back to God. When Jesus talks about the Father as the "only true God," He's not saying He's any less divine. Instead, He's highlighting the Father's important role and showing how closely He and the Father work together. It's all about them being distinct individuals but totally on the same page with their divine purpose.

When Jesus talks about knowing God the Father and Himself as the way to eternal life, He's pointing out how crucial it is to really understand and accept what they both do for us. It's a beautiful reminder of how they each have unique and loving roles, all aimed at helping us return to them. Their teamwork in the Godhead is all about guiding us toward salvation.
