Maybe, or maybe you misunderstood the meaning of Salvation. We don't believe God predistined others to be damned while others were saved just because they're evangelicals or protestants. We believe that God is a loving Father, and he wants everyone to come back to his presence someday. Although we have different beliefs or paths of faith, the Gospel is available to everyone who wasn't able to find it. So there will be no excemptions at the last days, the only thing that you and I should look at is to use our choices wisely. God save those who choose to keep his commandments, and everyone has a choice to accept or neglect them.
