A little Salo-salo before New Year

A little Salo-salo before New Year

As the New Year approached, we planned a family dinner to create lasting memories. My wife and I began preparing on December 30th, gathering the necessary stuff for our New Year's Eve meal. We invited Sister Charina Quebido, together with her daughter, to join us in our small gathering, or salo-salo as we call it.

We began with a prayer, followed by photos for a memory on this occasion. While it seems ordinary, this night held precious moments.

After the dinner, Sister Charina and her daughter headed home, leaving us to wait for the New Year's countdown. Our children were exhausted from the day of play, were now already asleep. Despite everything, this evening was filled with joy and fun.

This simple but meaningful act of sharing as a family strengthens us with the presence of our friends, which also creates and cherished memories together to be remembered this day and for some years will passed by. It's a reminder of how important the family is, the togetherness, and some simple pleasures in life.

These were moments worth to be remembered as we live life, though sometimes forgotten in time, soon there will be a time this chapter will be opened, and will tell some story of how and what truly matters most in reshaping our lives and leaving it full of meaning. The warmth of family and friendship that was shared was among the memories made this New Year's Eve truly special.
