Echoes of the Past by Jerry Bustillo

Looking back, recollecting the past,
An affair of our pure heart,
Bright memories flood my mind,
A love remains you left behind.

Was it our love a grand affair?
Matchless love beyond compare?
Each moment a sweet repeat,
Feelings of melodiously sweet.

Once we promised, no force overpower,
Love endures, lasts forever,
Even in death, cold grips in vain,
Our bond remains, free from stain.

Oh, my honey, your love's shown,
Strong exterior, inside grown,
Love grows deep, we met our end,
Shore beyond, without a hand to lend.

Looking back, I once gazed,
Courtship days and love's embraced,
Recollections still flood my mind,
The memories that you left behind.
