This Comment as what I'd know was his personal interpretation, which he took out of context of the scriptures. Specifically, the Book of Mormon, and let's see why-
- 2 Nephi 19:5 - According to his Comments, "False Prophet false and leads people astray or out of the Gospel Message" and will -
- He built his own Church around 559 BC, which they called Christian around 72 BC. (This was actually a definition of followers of Christ or the messiah, and as the translation goes, yes, it was indeed the same Christian who worshiped and honored the same Christ, not much about this, but rather questioning why such a word existed before that time. This was already translated, and the words' use were meant to be convenient in our time. So, obviously, you don't have any clue that this was all about translation rather word for word dictation. You FAIL!)
- Migrated to America around 600 BC. He thinks that these people in general were Christ descendants (Is it necessary Christ Descendants under Judah?)
- While traveling on a ship in the Red Sea, they at the same time travel in the wilderness. (What in the world was this all about?)
- America will be the land of Promise, and Jerusalem will be destroyed around 600 BC. (Seems true, and obviously, you need some history to dig up and understand what this was all about. I wouldn't occupy a lot of digging for this one in this article, but I will get to it in some other article that I possibly put in this blog, so far not a big deal.)
- So when Christ was born in Bethlehem, his descendants were not there? (Say what? I just don't know what you're up to, but this doesn't make any sense.
- Christ was born AT Jerusalem. This issue is all over to some Critics out there who couldn't comprehend what this was all about. I'll leave the link on this one in the notes.
- When Christ was baptized, it was in Bethabara, not in Jordan. (Oh come on, this one is pure Biblical. John 1:28 in KJV said that it was all done in Bethabara, will in other translations is said to be Bethany, both were used to describe where John and Christ went. If not the same place, possibly located near. You FAIL again!)
- Nephi saw Christ being baptized through the Crystal Ball? (I would like to know if you are serious about this or just simply want to drag people to your out-of-context commentary. So far, I haven't seen it that way; rather, it was all about Angelic Visitation. Try to seriously read your scripture.
- Joseph Smith made up a version of the story, like the Bible/like the Bible? (Maybe? Or maybe you simply can't comprehend what's inside the Book of Mormon. Of course, you are free to say whatever you want as long as you are in the context of what you read. So far, you FAIL in your own understanding based on the thing that you'd presented.)
So it's up to you to judge who this Job Bautista fails to understand a single verse from the Book. Also, you opened up things that aren't even relevant to the theme that you want to discuss. It doesn't say about 2 Nephi 19:5. Thank you, and have a nice day.
