To the Missionaries of
Philippines Olongapo Mission
Two missionary companions were eager to find a receptive golden soul to teach; they were walking through a small town. while they spotted a house and decided to try their luck.
Elder Taylor: This one looks perfect. Let's knock and see if we can share the message of the Restoration.
As they knocked on the door, they noticed that someone ran and rushed inside and went on hiding. They tried to continue knocking for a few minutes, then, as they realized no one answered, the two decided to move on, while leaving a message right at the door.
Elder Taylor: What scripture verse should we use?
Elder Smith: How about this one? -
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. - Revelation 3:20.Elder Taylor: Do you think they will understand the message?
Elder Smith: Of course. They'll get it. It's an invitation to a spiritual feasting!
As the missionaries continued their work in finding, most people they encountered were not interested in the message. Feeling down, they decide to try their luck in a different place. While they walked back, they passed by the house where they'd left the note. And to their surprise, they also found a note responding to the one they left on the gate.
Elder Smith: Read it!"
While Elder Taylor read aloud, they found it also a scripture passage -
And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked, and I hid myself. - Genesis 3:10.
Elder Taylor: Great! Let's teach them.
